Day Trips at Zoëtry Casa del Mar: Whale Watching Season

The majestic and beautiful Humpback Whale is truly a miracle of nature.  Each year, these amazing creatures migrate around 16,000 miles.  The waters off of the coast of Los Cabos are chosen as their breeding grounds and for birthing calves. Scientists believe Humpback Whales choose warm waters for birthing because calves are born without blubber, food in this area is plentiful and there is no threat of Orca Whales.  You may be wondering: Why do these whales ever return to colder waters?  Scientists believe this might be a technique the whales use to kill off the barnacles on their skin, which could eventually weigh them down.

If you are planning a trip to Zoëtry Casa del Mar Los Cabos, spending a day whale watching is an interesting, once-in-a-lifetime experience, and is especially remarkable between January and March, the peak breeding season. As a guest at Zoetry Casa del Mar, you will head to the bustling town of Los Cabos – a short 10 minute drive away – where you can go whale watching. Located at the Southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, Cabo San Lucas is often called Cabo” and is known for its sites, whale watching, shopping, nightlife, and deep-sea fishing.
