At Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana, we are always looking for ways to impress our guests with our excellent culinary skills and over the top service. We are very fortunate to have a Manager, Luis Fitch, who is a renowned chef and happens to be very passionate about international wines and how to pair them with different dishes.
We are excited to share with our fans and future guests that we will now be hosting a Wine Pairing Dinner regularly at Zoëtry Agua. Whether you are a wine novice or a wine expert, we can guarantee that this will be a spectacular event for any of our guests.
At our most recent Wine Pairing Dinner, Sr. Fitch served four delicious courses, each paired with an international wine that complimented the flavors in the dish. To kick off the evening, each guest was given a menu and information on the wines so they could jot down notes as the evening went on. Here some details about the wine pairings from recent guest Maria Teresa Weil, who wrote about the experience on her blog.
During the first course, guests were served Sherry Tio Pepe Palomino Fino Xeres from Spain which was paired with Crostini with Tapenade and Shrimp.
The second course included Filet of Grouper with Sun Dried Tomato Pesto that was paired with Sauvigonon Blanc Sun 35 from Chile.
During the second course, guests were served Certified Angus Beef Ribeye with a Three Pepper Sauce that was paired with Merlot Santa Rita Reserva.
To top off the evening, the fourth coursed included a Chocolate Mouse that was prepared and paired with Sparkling Wine Chandon Rose from Mendoza Argentina.
Our Wine Pairing Dinners can typically accommodate 18 to 30 people, so please be sure to speak with someone in Guest Services to find out when the event will be taking place so you can make a reservation. We promise, this is something you won’t want to miss!
