By Guest Blogger Zuko Garcia

At Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya, our Endless Privileges® provide unparalleled experiences focused on luxury, wellness, romance and enrichment. In addition to ultra luxurious accommodations, gourmet dining, premium cocktails and cultural enrichment activities, guests also receive a complimentary rejuvenating Hydrotherapy ritual during their stay.

Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita is the home to the first and only certified Thalasso Center & Spa in North America, which blends ancient traditions and modern services to provide a wide range of treatments to our guests. The complimentary Hydrotherapy ritual is the perfect way to introduce our guests to the world of thalassotherapy for the first time.

The welcome Hydrotherapy ritual begins in our steam room, allowing the heat to soothe and loosen muscles, open your pores and eliminate toxins. As an interlude, your guide will take you to our thalassotherapy seawater pool to stimulate your open pores and engage in specialized routines with the help of our hydro-jets to relax your muscles. We round off the ritual with a brief introduction to the therapeutic application of hot and cold water (also known as Kneip therapy), by alternating between the temperatures with precise timing that will relax and revitalize your body by stimulating the circulatory and immune system and promotion detoxification.

The thalasso pool at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita’s temperature is between 80-87˚F, which is the ideal temperature for our body to absorb the rich minerals in marine water, which isideal for thalassotherapy treatments like Janzu and Aquagym.

Some of the benefits of thalassotherapy are:

  • Relaxation
  • Stress, depression and anxiety
  • Physical and emotional exhaustion
  • Jet-lag
  • Detoxification
  • Weight loss and cellulite reduction
  • Dermatological problems

This stimulating Hydrotherapy ritual lasts approximately 20 minutes with a maximum number of 6 guests at a time. The session is lead by a certified therapist who helps guide each participant through the treatment to ensure they make the most out of their experience.

Sushi Class at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita

When staying at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita, guests have the opportunity to experience “their day, their way”. That means they can fill their days with adventure, culture, yoga, culinary classes —or nothing but naps and nibbles.

As part of our Endless Privileges® we offer a variety of creative activities and cultural enrichment classes to choose from. We recently hosted a sushi class where our guests were able to learn the art of making sushi. Our skilled chef provided a hands-on demonstration on how to prepare sushi and the tricks to making it taste so delicious!

Of course the best part of the classwas being able to indulge in the creations once it was finished. Take a look:
