The staff at Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana recently participated in the Vida Azul Annual Clean Up. The annual effort aims to clean up beaches in the Dominican Republic by removing waste, garbage and debris that washes up along the coast. According to a report in Dominican Today, plastic bags, bottles and Styrofoam are the main items found that can wash up along the coast. In an effort to remain environmentally friendly, staff at Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana were just a few of the 22,000 volunteers to help clean the beaches in the Dominican Republic. This year the effort was carried across an overwhelming 157 sites, surpassing last years record of 132. Take a look at some of the pictures below that were snapped of the staff working hard to protect the environment around the resort, and the beautiful beach area of Zoëtry Agua!
