Recent Review: Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana

We are constantly scouring the web for reviews and feedback about our properties. What better way to improve then by listening to our guests? Here is a recent review I stumbled across that I thought would be great to share with our readers. Check out this review about Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana from TopCat_Sussex on TripAdvisor.

“My husband and I needed a relaxing holiday after the trials of 2009 and were thankful to have found all we needed in this beautiful, tranquil hotel. From the moment we arrived we knew this was going to be an amazing holiday. We were met at the airport by a limo bus – where the driver (Victor) served champagne before setting off for what he likes to warn you could take an hour. However 45mins later (it didn’t seem this long after a couple of glassed of the champagne and a very pleasant journey!) we arrived at the hotel.

On arrival we were greeted with a cocktail and shown to our room via the beautiful gardens, the flowers are beautiful; Bird of Paradise etc. and the pool which is lagoon style and then flows towards the beach/sea, as an infinity. No check in required as they know who you are! All the staff are so friendly – the first Caribbean Island I have been to where they are so! The rooms are fantastic – a modern and well-equipped room and a beautiful bathroom! The maids come in at least twice a day, so it is always clean and you will be impressed with the towel replacement!

The beach is also fantastic and enjoys much calmer waters than the neighboring hotels thanks to a sheltering reef. it is raked daily to keep a pristine appearance. Also no endless rows of sunbeds, thanks to the fact there is only 50 rooms and not a beach seller in sight!

We were one of the first guests since the hotel re-opened after 8 months on 1st November and the new management have done a great job getting this resort back to it’s former glory and making further improvements, which we were interested to see develop every day. Natalia the GM is the most personable Manager we have ever met and the team who surrounds her are also very welcoming and are there if you need anything!

I can honestly say this is the first holiday we have taken and felt within the first day or so, completely relaxed. It would normally take the first week to do so anywhere else. We have stayed at hotels like the Banyan Tree and Calabash, both fantastic hotels and the Zoëtry Agua is up there with them, especially as it is all inclusive, we found this great value for money. There are no activities here, just what we wanted from this holiday, having had a very busy year. The atmosphere is one of tranquility and we met other like-minded souls there too, which made the evenings fun and lunchtimes interesting. The Spa adds to the pampered feel definitely another bonus to this already relaxing resort not to mention the beds being so comfortable!

We also found the food and beverages excellent; from the champagne in the room every day to the amazing cocktails from Cicillio in the evenings. The breakfast – eggs however you want them, fruit, yogurt, porridge, pastries – really anything you may like- to the dinners which are delicious and presented beautifully – in one of the restaurants or on the beach – no all-inc buffet style here! In fact we had a wonderful evening with a few other guests, one of whom was celebrating his birthday and chose to spend it with us. The restaurant Manager setup a private beach dinner for us all and created a great atmosphere. The food was to a Michelin star standard, including the birthday cake!!

If you ever doubted going to the Dominican Republic this hotel and the staff will change your mind for good! Wanting a quiet relaxing holiday – This is the place for you! I would also really recommend the Zoëtry Agua resort for anyone looking for a Caribbean.
